Project Consultant II – Healthcare Industry
Position Summary
The Project Consultant II – Healthcare Industry supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of technology transformation and management consulting initiatives for healthcare and public sector clients. This role combines analytical rigor, process improvement, and project execution capabilities to support complex engagements, particularly those involving government agencies and federally funded healthcare and social service programs (e.g., Medicaid, WIC, SNAP).
The consultant collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, applies structured consulting and project management methodologies, and leverages digital tools to enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service delivery outcomes across healthcare organizations and government programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Implementation & Coordination
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of management consulting and technology transformation projects within healthcare and public sector environments.
- Assist in managing project scope, schedules, deliverables, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders, including government agencies.
- Healthcare & Public Sector Process Evaluation
- Conduct assessments of healthcare, administrative, and operational processes within regulated and compliance-driven environments.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps, and risks related to policy, operations, data, and systems supporting healthcare and social service programs.
- Develop actionable recommendations aligned with federal and state program requirements.
- Methodology Application
- Apply structured consulting and project management methodologies such as PMI, Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, and Design Thinking.
- Support the use of best practices for healthcare transformation, public sector modernization, and continuous improvement.
- Analysis & Reporting
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses to support decision-making, program evaluation, and performance measurement.
- Develop client-ready reports, presentations, dashboards, and documentation for executive, operational, and government stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain effective communication with clients, including healthcare leaders, program administrators, and government officials.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and working sessions to ensure alignment, transparency, and progress.
- Support bilingual communication needs (English and Spanish) across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Systems & Tools Utilization
- Use enterprise and productivity tools (Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Project, or similar platforms) to manage documentation, track progress, and report results.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and visualization efforts related to healthcare and government programs.
- Change Management & Adoption Support
- Contribute to change management initiatives by developing communication plans, training materials, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Support user adoption of new processes, systems, and operating models in healthcare and government environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, Health Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, consulting, process improvement, or technology transformation roles.
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to healthcare organizations, public sector clients, or government programs.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data and findings into actionable insights.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, Power BI).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Availability to travel as required to support client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with or supporting government agencies or federally funded programs such as Medicaid, WIC, SNAP, Medicare, or similar social service programs.
- Experience supporting enterprise system implementations, modernization initiatives, or digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of or coursework toward Project Management certifications (PMP, CAPM, ScrumMaster) or Process Improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with business analysis techniques, workflow mapping, data visualization, or reporting platforms.
- Experience working in regulated industries, healthcare compliance environments, or public sector modernization projects.
